It is not worth converting popular music cassettes if the music is available today in quality form from online digital music platforms - which remake from original master recordings. The audio is edited to remove hiss and clicks and enhance quality where necessary. It is then exported to mp3 or .wav retaining tracks if desired.

And many vinyl albums are also available now on online streaming platforms for a subscription. Of course many aren't.
