audio cassette tape for conversion to digital mp3

AUDIO CASSETTES

There are plenty of cheap-quality cassette-to-mp3 converters on the market today, but they introduce a lot of extra noise, hiss, hum and clicking and create weak waveforms. WordsnDesign captures into a top end audio interface and software (Adobe Audition), from a high quality JVC tape deck (from the cassette era).

People often want tapes converted for family reasons, eg., "we interviewed my great-grandfather 60 years ago and this is his voice. Can you help us preserve the interview."

It is not worth converting popular music cassettes if the music is available today in quality form from online digital music platforms - which remake from original master recordings. BUT if you don't want to do that, or you have cassette content that not available anywhere else you know of, conversion is a good solution.

VINYL

Vinyl tracks can be converted to digital mp3s for you.

WordsnDesign uses a high quality analog-to-digital (ADC)  converter that connects to a vinyl turntable and to a computer, allowing capture of vinyl recordings into audio editing software.

The audio is edited to remove hiss and clicks and enhance quality where necessary. It is then exported to mp3 or .wav retaining tracks if desired.

But vinyl is having a comeback andif you'd rather keep playing your old vinyl on new players, they are now available (with speakers) - at prices that reflect the quality you're wanting.

And many vinyl albums are also available now on online streaming platforms for a subscription. Of course many aren't.

If you're only wanting to preserve tracks from a couple of vinyl records - digitising is the way to go
